Support the Association by Shopping with AmazonSmile
Fairfax, Va. — Supporters of the Fairfax County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association who shop with online retailer Amazon should consider using AmazonSmile, a program that enables them to automatically donate 0.5 percent of their eligible purchases to the Association each time they shop.
After a one-time sign up through an AmazonSmile link, where users designate Fairfax County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association as the non-profit for which they wish to donate, shoppers will find a very familiar shopping experience: It is the same Amazon everyone knows: same products, same prices, and same service.
There is no cap on the amount Amazon will donate and nearly all physical products by the company are eligible, provided shoppers register and start their shopping experience at smile.amazon.com.
With Mother’s Day and Father’s Day coming up, now’s a great time to shop Amazon for gifts like jewelry, flowers and electronics, and have a portion of the purchase automatically go toward the Fairfax County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association.
The Fairfax County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association is a partnership of 12 volunteer fire and rescue departments in Fairfax County, Va. Learn more about the Association at www.fcvfra.org. (4/8/2015)
