Support your local fire departments while shopping at Amazon

Fairfax, Va. — Black Friday and Cyber Monday are two of the busiest shopping days of the year. But friends of the Fairfax County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association could skip the lines and the crowds and support local fire and rescue organizations at the same time.

Through our partnership with AmazonSmile, a program that enables Amazon.com shoppers to automatically donate 0.5 percent of their eligible purchases to the Association each time they shop, you can effortlessly help stuff our stockings this holiday shopping season.

After a one-time sign up through an AmazonSmile link, where users designate Fairfax County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association as the non-profit for which they wish to donate, shoppers will find a very familiar shopping experience: It is the same Amazon everyone knows: same products, same prices, and same service.

There is no additional cost for the shoppers And there is no cap on the amount Amazon will donate. Nearly all physical products by the company are eligible, provided shoppers register and start their shopping experience at smile.amazon.com.

With the holiday season coming up, now’s a great time to shop Amazon for gifts such as jewelry, toys, and electronics, and have a portion of the purchase automatically go toward the Fairfax County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association.
